Taproot’s staff facilitates programming in English and may collaborate with interpreters or translators to engage employees and/or community partners who do not speak English. Taproot Plus, Taproot’s on-demand skills-based volunteering marketplace, is available in the United States, Canada, India, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

Taproot defines skills-based volunteering as any donation of expertise. Taproot defines pro bono as a subset of skills-based volunteering that involves donating one’s specific professional expertise to increase an organization’s capacity in a similar way they would for a paying client. Some skills-based volunteering, like tutoring, mentoring or board service, may be considered skills-based volunteering but not pro bono service.
